Opening a Bank Account

International protection applicants are entitled to open a basic bank account.

A basic bank account will allow you to receive money, withdraw cash, make payments (such as direct debits and card purchases), and use online or mobile banking. It should also include a payment card that you can use to withdraw cash and make purchases, both online and in shops. The bank should include access to online banking services with your account.
